2011 Heisman Trophy Candidates

We have finished the first week of college football and already the press is picking favorites.  Connor Ennis, a New York Times Sports Expert breaks down the possible winners.  You can listen to his analysis of his picks by following the link below.

The four in his list include: Robert Griffin, III, Baylor's quarterback, Russell Wilson, quarterback of Wisconsin, Andrew Luck, quarterback of Stanford, and finally Marcus Lattimore, Running Back of South Carolina.

Head Football Coach Steve Spurrier spoke to the press regarding Marcus Lattimore stating that he wanted to win the Heisman.  Spurrier said, "... we don't talk about individual awards, we talk about team awards and he knows that."  With that said, I doubt Lattimore will be talking Heisman the rest of the season.

ESPN has a terrific ranking system that displays all of the statistics.  They have the player I have my eye on, Andrew Luck, listed as number one in its poll with the quarterback of Boise State, Kellen Moore, as number two.
