DAVID GARRARD'S QUARTERBACK RATING QBR

In 2011, ESPN created what is now known as the Total Quarterback Rating (QBR).  Probably the best rating system for overall performance, the QBR takes into account all of the NFL quarterback's achievements on the field including rushing yards, passing yards, and even critical last minute decision-making toward the end of the game.  The scoring is from 0 to 100.  An average quarterback would be rated as 50.

This rating also includes what is known as a "clutch index."  With a score score between 0 and 3, this index rates the value of a play in winning or losing a game.

David Garrard's best rating was in 2010 with an overall rating of 57.3, which ranked him 14th in the NFL.  In 2009, Garrard's QBR was 50.4, ranking him 20th in the NFL.  And, finally in 2008, his QBR was 50.8, which ranked him 21st in the NFL.
