Horse Saves Boy From Grizzly

Jacksonville, FL
By: J.E. Miller

In my opinion, twenty-five year old wrangler Erin Bolster is a hero.  She deserves a medal for her quick thinking and bravery at Glacier National Park.

In a split second decision, she used her enormous horse (18 hands high) and placed it between a charging grizzly bear and the eight year old boy that it saw as prey.  Then, when the bear would not back down, she charged the bear head-to-head.  Now, that is gutsy.  It is amazing how Bolster's horse cooperated.  I won't reveal the ending, but it is very touching.
