MICHAEL VICK BREAKS RIGHT
(NON-THROWING) HAND

This must be the year for football injuries both in college and in the pros.  In today's NFL game between the Giants and the Eagles, Michael Vick was thrown to the ground.  He caught his fall with his right hand and then Eagles' player Jason Pierre Paul crushed it with a helmet to hand hit.  At this time it is listed as broken.

After the game in the post game press conference Vick brought up the fact that the refs were not calling Paul for fouls.  He had attempted to hit (or actually did hit) twice earlier in the game.  Vick said that he did not need to dwell on the topic since, "You all saw it."

Since the entire Eagles team is based on Vick playing each week, I can expect that he will have some newfangled device on the right hand and continue to play.  No one can imagine Vick sitting out the season.

No details have been released as to the seriousness of the break.

Vick was punished for three quarters by the Giants defensive line.  Vick did not grimace after he was injured and it is believed that he continued to play through the pain.  The break could have been discovered at halftime but Vick must have demanded to re-enter the game.

After leaving the game, Vick sat on the sidelines looking sad and deflated.  I can only guess he is thinking to himself, "What else could go wrong?"  Meanwhile, Eagles' Head Coach Andy Reid must be saying to himself, "Oh, woe is me."

If you are a Fantasy Football player you might as well throw in the towel, everyone is getting injured.
