Dwayne Jackson joined the ABA Jacksonville Giants this season. He told Head Coach Kevin Waters everything about himself, but left out one important note. And, that bit of information was that he had a shot at the "BIG TIME."
Budweiser's sports brand Bud United has sponsored a new reality TV show that will air soon. Dwayne plays the real life role of a basketball player attempting to "get his shot" in the NBA.
Dwayne signed a confidentiality agreement, which requires him to keep the ending of the show a secret since it was filmed several months ago. Giants Head Coach Kevin Waters commented, "I wish Dwayne all the luck and hope he makes the Big Time. He is so humble that his team members did not know about this exciting news."
At the Jacksonville Giants last home game in the Veterans Memorial Arena on January 14th, former NBA Star, Duke Standout, and Olympic Gold Medalist Christian Laettner (now a player for the Giants) joined play by play commentator Richard Miller on the simulcast of CW17 television and 1010XL radio.
When Dwayne Jackson (known as the "Long Stepper" due to his amazing stride) dunked the ball in the fourth quarter to provide the Giants more momentum against the opposition, Miller reminded the fans that Dwayne led the ABA in scoring last season. With that said, Laettner replied, "I need to start throwing him the ball more often!"

Dwayne has a contagious smile and a devotion and love to the game of basketball. It is not luck that Bud United chose him as the reality basketball star. Dwayne's fellow Giants players respect his on-court talent, and the fans enjoy watching his dunks and stride. On Facebook this morning, Dwayne posted that he and his teammates are headed to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade. Dwayne quoted Martin Luther King, Jr., stating: "Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase." From the Giants and the city of Jacksonville, good luck, Dwayne.
WATCH THE GREATEST SHOT IN THE HISTORY OF THE JACKSONVILLE GIANTS AND MAYBE THE MOST SIGNIFICANT BUZZER BEATER SHOT IN JACKSONVILLE'S PROFESSIONAL BASKETBALL HISTORY.
